Favorite Things to do in Newport Beach
The outdoor opportunities are endless in Newport Beach. With mild temperatures year round, you’ll find the climate perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Your toughest choice will be whether you choose to spend your time on Land, Sea or in the Air!
Land
Newport Beach has one of the longest, widest, and whitest beaches in Southern California. There is always room for your beach chair and umbrella! Obviously, a visit to Newport isn’t complete without a visit to the beach, so grab your sunscreen and towel and hit any portion of the beautiful coastline. Some favorite beach activities include building sand castles, renting beach cruisers or segways and riding along the boardwalk, enjoying a bonfire and smores, or just soaking up the rays!
If you need a break from the beach, Newport has great shopping, golfing, hiking, day spas, and tons of fabulous restaurants to enjoy.

Sea
A visit to Newport Beach isn’t complete without at least sticking your toes in the water! Even on the most overcast day, there will always be people surfing the waves or riding their body boards. If you’re lucky, you may even see dolphins, whales, or seals while you are out! Renting kayaks, stand up paddle boards, or a duffy boat if you prefer to let the boat do the work is another fantastic way to enjoy the delights of the water in Newport Beach! A drier way to experience the Pacific Ocean is with a sunset cruise through the harbor, a gondola ride, or an adventure out to Catalina Island.

Air
A fabulous way to see Newport Beach is from the air. Helicopter tours will take you along the beach or if you have enough time you could even sign up for flying lessons! If you’re looking for something a little more tame you could always try the ferris wheel at the Fun Zone! Kite surfing is another adventure that you could try that might make you feel like you are flying!
